After a 20-year career in business, finance, and mergers and acquisitions, Davidji began a new journey to wholeness, which he found through meditation. He apprenticed under Drs. Ed & Deb Shapiro are the authors of sixteen books on meditation, personal development and social action, many published in over seventeen languages. Ed and Deb are corporate consultants and personal coaches, working with CEO's and senior management. Ed is from the Bronx, New York where he won the New York City dance championships as a teenager. In 1966 he studied with Sri Swami Satchidananda. He was initiated as Swami Brahmananda by Paramahamsa Swami Satyananda, one of India's great yogi's, at the Bihar School of Yoga in India in 1969. He later returned to the US to teach, and spent time with the Tibetan Buddhist teacher Chögyam Trungpa. He has been teaching yoga, meditation and Inner Conscious Relaxation (ICR) since 1976. He is a respected meditation teacher who is sought after for his compassionate understanding of the human condition.

Deb grew up in London. She began meditating at the age of 15, training with Buddhist and Zen meditation teachers, including Jiyu Kennett Roshi and Chime Rinpoche. She founded the Maitreya Institute in Hawaii in 1983 for Tai Situ Rinpoche, and was initiated as Swami Dharmavati by Paramahamsa Swami Satyananda in 1987. She has also trained in numerous forms of bodywork and bodymind therapy, becoming a leading authority and highly respected for her intuitive understanding of the bodymind relationship. Sally Kempton

Krishna Das

Swami Atmavidyanada Giri

Swami Atmavidyananda Giri, a senior monk in the lineage of Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Paramahamsa Prajnanananda, currently Vice President of Kriya yoga Institute, has been tirelessly teaching Kriya Yoga to sincere seekers for more than 7 years.

Swami Atmavidyananda was born Arvind Joshi in a traditional Brahmin family in 1971, in Bhopal, India. At an early age, the spiritual environment and guidance of his parents nurtured in him a sincere quest for God. Upon completion of a degree in mechanical engineering, he met Paramahamsa Hariharananda and, with his blessings, was initiated into Kriya Yoga in 1994.

Under the directions of his Master, Paramahamsa Prajnanananda, he travelled outside India in 2006 to teach Kriya Yoga in the west. Since then he has travelled extensively in North America, South America, Europe and Asia to guide seekers on the path of Kriya Yoga.

Dr Anne Combrinck (PhD)

Anne Combrinck (Annapurna) is one of the founders of Ananda Sanga Educational Institute since 1991. She has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1987. She is the senior Lecturer and Facilitator for Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) & Yoga Therapy Teacher at Ananda Sanga Educational Institute, South Africa, since 1997.

Anne is the Senior Trainer of Yoga Teachers at Ananda Sanga since 2002. Trainer of Advanced Yoga Teachers (500 hour level), since 2003. Teacher of yoga and relaxation at Stellenbosch Health Hydro for nine years, 1993-2002.

Anne gave up a career at the CSIR, in Analytical Chemistry and Marine Research in 1992 (from 1977) to teach yoga and study further in the wellness and health field. She regularly writes articles for health magazines on yoga and related issues.

She has studied Kriya Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda in the USA and India with respected and well-known teachers. Dr Earl Henslin

Dr. Earl Henslin has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He is a former part-time faculty member at the Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology at Biola University and author of six other books. He helped found Overcomers Outreach to aid churches in establishing support groups.

He is recognized as a national and international expert on the application of neuroscience to daily clinical treatment of depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury, addictions, individual, marital and family problems. He has authored 10 books, and his two latest books ("This is Your Brain on Joy" and "This is Your Brain in Love") reflect the past 20 years of using SPECT Scans and MRI's to develop treatment strategies to help with the above-mentioned problems.

For the past fourteen years, working closely with brain imaging research pioneer Daniel G. Amen, MD. Dr. Henslin has been integrating brain imaging into the treatment of psychological, physical, and spiritual problems at his counseling practice, Henslin and Associates, a Christian counseling group in Brea, California.

Ramananda (John Welshons)

Ramananda (John E. Welshons) is a highly respected contemporary spiritual teacher who lectures and leads meditation courses throughout North America. He has been a practitioner of vipassana (mindfulness) meditation and various forms of yoga for more than forty five years.

He has traveled and studied extensively in India, spending time in the ashrams of Meher Baba and Neem Karoli Baba. Sister Pratiba Daya

Pratiba Daya is the program co-ordinator, facilitator and teacher of Raja Yoga Meditation, as taught by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in South Africa. At the age of 15 she was introduced to the Brahma Kumaris in Johannesburg, the practice of meditation and the teaching of Raja Yoga had a deep impact on her.

Her passion has been always been to work with women. For more than 12 years she has been primarily responsible facilitating and co-ordinating annual retreats for women in South Africa under the theme Women of Spirit.
